“I haven’t joined an exercise class since I was in college because I always thought I could handle it on my own. I was always afraid of making a fool of myself in front of people. But a bigger part of my reluctance was that I I didn’t want to commit to a scheduled class, when I might have conflicts with work. Once I finally made the commitment to go, I realized these were just lame excuses. The people in Amy’s class are all very inviting, friendly, and encouraging. No one is watching how you are doing or judging you. Just the opposite – they tell you how great you are doing! Also, joining an exercise class forces you to schedule AROUND the class rather than scheduling exercise around work! Arranging work around exercise is the reason why I got so out of shape! “I first found out about The Body Elite while watching my daughter at Dufour Dance Center. I had not done any formal or informal training in a very long time. I had also just finished my 3rd round of maintenance for follicular lymphoma. After watching a couple of boot camps I approached Amy and proceeded to get involved. “When I first met The Body Elite trainers I knew the relationship would work. They are very positive, knowledgeable, sweet and listen very well. I am someone who doesn’t have a lot of motivation to exercise because I get bored fairly easily and choose to do something else instead. I am also a Nurse Practitioner and want to understand why I am doing certain exercises. My trainer understood this from the beginning and was able to give me all the information I needed.
