Amy Shaabani – Owner, Certified Personal Trainer
Amy
founded The Body Elite in 2004. Having experienced her own life transformation as a result of exercise and lifestyle change and wanting to help others do the same, her number one priority is using her skills and knowledge of the human body, exercise and her talents as an educator and motivator to help others achieve their goals and live healthy, balanced and fulfilling lives. She has trained individuals of all ages and fitness levels and has worked in a variety of settings, including large fitness centers and smaller gyms both as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
Amy’s education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master of Science degree in Health & Wellness, and an MBA. She is certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She also holds the certifications of Nutrition Specialist from the American Academy of Sports Dietitians & Nutritionists (AASDN), Holistic Lifestyle Coach from the CHEK Institute, Yoga Instructor from Yogafit, and Kickboxing Specialist from the Kickboxing Fitness Institute.
Sheilah Troiano – Yoga Specialist
Sheilah has brought her extensive knowledge and teaching skills of Yoga to The Body Elite since 2006. She works with clients in private sessions or group classes to improve flexibility, strength, balance, breathing and state of mind. She is a Level 3 Yogafit instructor and has extensive experience working with clients of all ages and fitness levels.
Sally Wendel – Certified Nutritionist
Sally works with The Body Elite clientele in private or small group nutrition sessions to promote healthy lifestyle eating habits. She has worked in health and wellness for 13 years as a nutritionist, licensed massage therapist, fitness instructor, and personal trainer. Her certifications include State of Texas Licensed Massage Therapist, Sports Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Tai Chi / Qi Gong Instructor.
Sally believes that food allows us to live long, healthy, and happy lives, and that if we make proper choices, we can bring our lives back in balance and have abundant energy. She is dedicated to providing clients with current and pertinent information. She designs unique programs, catered toward the individual, with commitment to the highest standards of personal service.
